Spring Training
As the weather gets nicer in most parts of the nation, it is time to take to the streets and start training outside. Practice on all kinds of terrain, rain or shine, day and night. Try to simulate the environment you may have to use your skills in a practical situation. The random acts of violence in the country seem to be a daily occurrence; and a dangerous situation can happen anywhere at anytime. Just yesterday there was a shooting right in front of a house I lived in for three years and had only moved out of in October! This is in a nice area too, not the inner city. So the point is - be ready for anything!
New Self Defense DVD

Testing
Many students are gearing up for Brown and Black belt testing. June is a very big month for these tests. Please notify me in advance if you have questions on testing. I am willing to preview some of your forms and technique if you send me a video link. Do not do an entire test, just send me the items you have questions on. We have nearly 400 people enrolled in our Shorin Ryu or White Crane program now, so the more advance notice you provide the better I will be able to respond quickly and efficiently.
